Mic Gillette Band
Mic Gillette was the world-renowned trumpet and trombone player who had appeared on countless CDs and record albums, spanning five decades, for some of the biggest names in the business, including a dozen members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
From 1968 to1984, Mic was a founding member of the Tower of Power horn section – he was personally best known as the man who blows ‘You’re Still A Young Man’ and can play a trumpet and trombone almost simultaneously. He left the road when he and his wife had their one and only daughter. After she grew up Mic went back and did one last stint with Tower of Power in 2011, he realized his passion was making music with the people he loved and he focused his attention to The Mic Gillette Band.
